The FRS-R series is part of the Fusetron™ family, which are the industry-standard workhorse fuses for protecting industrial motors and transformers. This is a Class RK5 dual-element, time-delay fuse. The dual-element design is critical: it has a thermal cutout for long-term overloads (like a motor working too hard) and a separate fuse link for catastrophic short circuits. This allows the fuse to "ride through" the temporary high current surge when a motor first starts up without blowing unnecessarily.
