The apparatus determines the volumes before and after tapping and the resulting tapped density, in accordance with the European Pharmacopoeia, DIN ISO 787 Part 11, ISO 3953, ISO 8967, and ASTM B527-93. It accepts measuring cylinders of 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, and 1000 mL, opening a wide range of industrial applications. Using various cylinder sizes fixed in place with a holding cap makes it possible to determine the tapped density of varying quantities of a powdery, fibrous, or granular product.
