The BNI IOL-302-002-K006 is an IO-Link Sensor/Actuator Hub (part of the "Black Line" series). It acts as a signal concentrator, allowing you to connect up to 16 digital PNP signals (inputs or outputs) via 8 M12 ports and transmit them all back to a master controller through a single IO-Link cable. This drastically reduces the amount of wiring needed in a machine.
