The AV6010 Rangefinder is a high-precision optical triangulation module. At 36 inches long and 16 lbs, this is a substantial aluminum-housed bar that mounts alongside the main camera. The 3 lenses you see are its defining feature. They work together to measure the distance to the package (height sensing) with $0.2"$ accuracy. This data is sent to the main AV6010 camera head so it can adjust its focal depth instantly as packages of different sizes pass by at high speed.
