The Nordson EFD 741V series needle valve requires an actuating air pressure of 70 to 90 psi (4.8 to 6.2 bar) to operate effectively. This air pressure acts on an internal piston to withdraw the needle from its seat, allowing fluid to flow. If the operating air pressure falls below the 70 psi (4.8 bar) minimum, the valve may fail to open.
