It is a small "Bezel" or "Insert" used to adapt HGS-series shielded modular jacks (like Cat6A HGS620 jacks) into standard M-Series faceplates, surface mount boxes, or patch panels. Without this adapter, the smaller, high-density HGS jacks would not "snap" securely into standard M-Series hardware.
