Description
A PID controller is the "brain" of a closed-loop feedback system. It is used in industrial processes to maintain a constant variable (such as temperature, pressure, or motor speed) by calculating the difference between a desired setpoint and a measured process variable, then applying a correction. The three components—Proportional, Integral, and Derivative—work together to prevent overshooting or oscillating.
