The 5460 Style N is the "High Range" powerhouse of the Chemiquip pressure limiting valve lineup. While the "L" handles low-pressure pneumatics and the "M" handles mid-range hydraulics, the Style N is built for high-pressure systems where surges can be violent and destructive. This valve acts as a mechanical bodyguard for your expensive high-pressure gauges and transducers. When the system pressure hits your pre-set limit (between 2,500 and 10,000 PSI), the internal piston instantly shuts off the flow to the gauge. Crucially, even though it shuts off at these levels, the valve body itself is rated to survive a staggering 12,000 PSI without bursting.
