OCO Industrial Supplies Materials for El Paso’s Largest Sustainable Public Art Installation

Posted by OCO Industrial on 23rd Dec 2025

OCO Industrial proudly served as the main material supplier for a landmark public art installation by Serjirism Industrial Art, founded by El Paso artist Serjik Leon. Commissioned by the Museums and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD), this project represents the largest sustainable art installation ever created by a local artist in El Paso, showcasing the power of industrial reuse and responsible sourcing.

Unveiled during Chalk the Block, El Paso’s premier annual downtown art festival, the installation attracted thousands of visitors and became a focal point of the event. The project highlights how industrial surplus and used industrial materials—when sourced from a trusted supplier like OCO Industrial—can be transformed into impactful, large-scale design.

Sustainability, Reuse, and Industrial Innovation in El Paso

Every element of the installation reflects the shared values of Serjirism Industrial Art and OCO Industrial: sustainability, innovation, and maximizing the lifecycle of industrial materials. What would otherwise remain unused or scrapped inventory became a symbol of transformation, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

“We’re proud to say this is the largest sustainable art installation the city has ever hosted,” says Serjik Leon, founder of Serjirism and a University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) graduate. “OCO Industrial was essential to making this project possible. Their industrial materials allowed us to build something structurally sound, sustainable, and visually powerful.”

More Than an Industrial Supplier

For decades, OCO Industrial has helped businesses across the U.S. save money by supplying quality used industrial equipment, pallet racking, and surplus inventory with fast shipping options. This project shows that OCO’s impact extends beyond warehouses and production lines—supporting community development, sustainability initiatives, and creative innovation in El Paso.

By supplying the materials for this installation, OCO Industrial proves that industrial reuse is not only practical—it’s transformative.

Building the Future with Reused Industrial Materials

This collaboration places El Paso on the map as a city where industrial sustainability and public art intersect, joining a growing global movement focused on responsible reuse and creative engineering.

The future of art is industrial, and it’s being built in El Paso, Texas.
