The Basler Electric Model PRS210 is a solid-state auto-synchronizing relay designed to automatically parallel a generator to a power system (bus) by controlling voltage and frequency to achieve a seamless connection. It is designed to replace manual or semi-automatic synchronization methods to ensure a "no-disturbance" breaker closure. Circuits within the relay analyze the phase angle difference between the generator and the bus.The PRS210 includes an anticipation circuit that offsets the time delay of the breaker mechanism, ensuring the breaker actually closes at approximately zero phase angle.
